Mandarin is the most southern section and is bordered on the north by Beauclerc, the west by St Johns River, the south by Julington Creek and to the east by Bartram.
This area’s close proximity to the river makes it very desirable for boaters and all who enjoy water activities. Several marinas in the body of water known as Julington Creek (Bull Bay) provide places for in-water storage as well as dry storage. Two public boat ramps with good parking facilities provide easy access to everyone for fun on the water – whether it is a boat, jet ski, canoe, kayaks, day sailers.
The Bartram portion of this area features easy access to I-95 and is within minutes of the city’s newest hospital – Baptist South and the medical office complex situated with the hospital. Bartram has many choices of carefree living in townhomes and/or condos with or without attached garages. Many residents in this area enjoy the ability to walk to nearby shopping for the grocery store, drug store, bank, and several restaurants. This well thought out planned development of several communities includes miles of sidewalks making it so easy to walk to the store, walk the dog, or just go for a walk.
